Switch to remote branch git

Git get remote branches

git branch -r

Checkout remote branch

git fetch origin 

git checkout –track origin/xyz

Pull down remote branch git

git fetch origin

git checkout --track origin/<branch_name>

Git checkout branch on different remote

# First fetch all new_remote refs
git fetch new_remote
# Then
git checkout -b <branchname> --track new_remote/<branchname>

Switch to remote branch git

# creates a branch called some_branch
# switches to this newly created branch
# pulls changes from the origin remote branch
git checkout -b some_branch origin/some_branch

Git branch change remote

git branch branch_name -u your_new_remote/branch_name
