How to cd into local machine using ubuntu subsystem

You will find the Windows C:\ structure at /mnt/c/ in the Bash environment.

Therefore, my Documents folder is at /mnt/c/...

therefore to cd into your directory do 
cd /mnt/c/...

Ubuntu navigate to directory in windows

cd /mnt/e/username/folder1/folder2
